Re.turn – Recent Works of Franklin Chow is the debut exhibition of Franklin Chow in Asia at the ION Art gallery. The exhibition and accompanying catalogue features a selection of mixed-media works that testify to the exhilarating and complex re-locations, re-collections, and journeys of the artist in his creative development.
This publication features essays by French art historian Pierre Daix (b.1922) – the widely reputed biographer of Pablo Picasso and recipient of the prestigious Grand Officier title in the French Legion of Honour; as well as curatorial essays by Low Sze Wee, Deputy Director (Curation & Collections) of the National Art Gallery, Singapore, and the exhibition curator Lindy Poh.
